BOHO CHIC - FROM WHIMSICAL VISION TO BREATHTAKING EXECUTION

1 JULY 2020

THE SETTING

Alana & Tom chose the picturesque backdrop of the stunning Bellarine Peninsula for their sunny Summer Wedding. The weather was absolutely perfect, the sun was shining and the sky was blue. With a backdrop like Terindah Estate, our job was a pure joy. Accentuating the raw beauty within and adding the atmosphere that flowers have the magical ability to create. Alana & Tom chose a stunning Boho Chic style which is on trend in 2020. Muted tones of blush pink tied in with whites and a pop of texture through raw elements like pampas grass and foliages. The look is sophisticated, effortless and absolutely breathtaking when executed well.

THE SQUAD

We had the immense pleasure to again work closely with the talented ladies from Storytime Weddings who seamlessly styled the event, down to the smallest details. Working with a team of talented and likeminded creatives ensures the day runs smoothly, with style and vision hitting the brief and creating synergy through every aspect of the day.

THE CEREMONY

The Ceremony Backdrop was a picturesque spot, perched on a hill, overlooking the peninsula. We created an abundant freestanding arch that framed the couple perfectly and the proof is in the stunning photos of their magical ‘I do’ moment. When possible, we like to ensure ceremony flowers are relocated to the reception, post ceremony. This is for a couple of reasons… 1 - they cost a lot of money! 2 - they a STUNNING and should be enjoyed during the entirety of the day. 3 - It’s easy enough for them to be relocated, so why wouldn’t you? In this case, the lovely Storytime Wedding team relocated the arch to become a floral display on entry to the Reception Space and to showcase the Seating Chart.

THE RECEPTION

The Reception was all about the roof! The space has a barn style roof with structural beams that scream ‘hang something beautiful from me!’. So that was exactly what we did. An epic 4 metre floral and foliage installation sat pretty in the centre of the room to create ambience and an overwhelming wow factor. With such a statement piece, Alana and Tom were then free to relax the look on the tables with a simple foliage lay which created an intimate feel weaving amongst tealight candles and glassware. Storytime styled the tables to look both effortless and lush with custom blush napkins and personalised laser cut name tags. With the synergy of flowers, styling and the jaw dropping view of the ocean, the overall experience was breathtaking. It has to be said that a photographer can make or break the memory of a wedding day. A story isn’t only told in the physical moment a photo captures, but more importantly in the lighting, angles and emotion that is achieved. The talented Georgia Verrells photographed this day perfectly. We hope you’ll take a look through this exquisite gallery.
